Skin cancer medicine is Dr Rankmore’s primary focus. He provides:

• Comprehensive skin checks – thorough head-to-toe examinations using dermoscopy and clinical photography.
• Total body photography – secure imaging to monitor skin changes over time.
• Biopsies – small tissue samples taken under local anaesthetic to confirm or exclude a diagnosis.
• Cryotherapy – freezing sunspots and other lesions with liquid nitrogen.
• Skin excisions – surgical removal of skin cancers and suspicious lesions, with suturing to promote healing.
• Scar management – silicone gels, dressings, and sun protection advice to reduce long-term scarring.
• Referral pathways – when required, patients are connected with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and hospital-based teams for additional care.

Looking ahead, Dr Rankmore plans to expand services to include public skin surgery through Gunnedah Health Services, improving access for patients across the region.
